Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the PTC Custom Fit Engine Air Filter on our 2016 Acura MDX. Now checking and changing your engine air filter is going to be an important thing, but a lot of times people don't think about it. We remember to put fuel in our car, and a lot of new cars have a light on the dash that will remind you, "Hey, you need to get an oil change." Well, remembering to change your air filter is not that easy, we might forget about it. But if we don't change it, we're going to be losing fuel economy, plus all little bit of particulates can get through the filter, eventually causing damage to the engine. So we do want to make sure we at least check it, and change it regularly when it does get dirty.Now, whenever you do have your Acura in for service, you probably will get a recommendation saying, "Oh, we can change your air filter for you, but to be honest, there's no reason to pay anybody else to do it."
